Trading is temporarily paused. More info here. THORChain has no active refund, airdrop, or compensation program. Be cautious of fraudulent websites impersonating the protocol and report them back to us.

Be Involved

  • Get Hired

Are you a junior or senior protocol engineer? Have experience with Go and Cosmos SDK? Want to bring financial freedom to the world? Reach out to co-founder Chad Barraford to become a THORChain developer.

  • Contribute

THORChain rewards demonstrated work instead of self-promotion. Ship tangible improvements such as code, tooling, research, or documentation, and funding will follow proven impact.

  • Create dApps

The App-Layer is for developers who want to build secure and sustainable dApps on the protocol. The advantage of dApps on THORChain is having direct access to deep Bitcoin and other Layer-1's liquidity. The App-Layer is built and managed by Rujira.

  • Bug Bounty

The bug bounty program has been retired as of March 2026. While bounties are no longer being paid, responsible disclosure of security issues is still appreciated and will be acknowledged.

Teams Working with THORChain

The people working on THORChain are just as decentralized as the network. Some organizations help build and contribute to the protocol too.

  • Rujira

The team that developed smart contracts on THORChain, paving the way for an App-Layer, and enabling the protocol to evolve from a DEX to a programmable Layer-1. The App-Layer is permissioned and requires collaboration with Rujira to deploy dApps on the network.

  • Maya Protocol

Maya is a friendly fork of THORChain. The shared codebase means improvements often benefit both protocols, therefore Maya developers regularly contribute upstream to THORChain. They also helped create the TCY token.

  • Unstoppable

The team that designed and built THORChain's swap interface. They're also responsible for the free API that wallets and interfaces use to integrate THORChain.

  • Berserk Marketing

A marketing company set up specifically to promote THORChain - focused on driving protocol awareness, user adoption, and investor interest.

  • Liquify

Liquify manages all the API infrastructure for THORChain and provides RPC endpoints to node operators.

  • Soda Labs

THORChain security (THORSec) is managed by a dedicated team to protect the network from vulnerabilities and suspicious activity. THORSec is run by Soda Labs.
